Location of Estancia, an Eco Friendly Community
Estancia is located in the province of Guanacaste and minutes away from the town of Bagaces. It is situated 190 km from San Jose', the capital city of Costa Rica, and lies along the Inter- American highway just north of Liberia.
Tourists visit the many attractions of Bagaces, Fortuna, Guayabo, Hornillas and the Miravalles Volcano region. During the visit they enjoy the canopy, waterfalls, lakes, creeks, eco and rural tourism, mineral spas, and the hot springs of the Miravalles Recreation area.Close to Bagaces, tourists visit the Palo Verde National Park and the Lomas de Barbudal Biological Station.Bird watching, nature hiking, canopy tours, horse back riding, camping, and mountain biking are favorite activities in this area.Also nearby, the area of Cabro Muco has beautiful waterfalls surrounded by several lakes.
Getting to Estancia
From San Jose:Take the Caldera Toll Road and continue until it merges with the Interamericana Highway towards Liberia. Stay on the Interamericana traveling north, passing Cañas, until arriving at Bagaces. Exit right towards Bagaces, and from there follow the directions below.
From Liberia:From the airport, head east towards Liberia. At the large intersection before heading into the center of Liberia, take a right at the Interamericana Highway. Head south about 30 kilometers until arriving at Bagaces. Exit left towards Bagaces, and from there follow the directions below.
